Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of restoration of the Health Hydro Project Description Swindon Borough Council, wishes to submit to tender the requirements for the provision of works relating to the phased restoration and enhancement of the Grade II* Health Hydro. The works fall into two Phases. Phase 1 is fully funded. Funding for Phase 2 is dependent on the Levelling Up Fund round 2 bid, which was submitted in August 2022. The Phase 1 works include: Repairs and conservation works to roofs and external faades Replacement of mechanical electrical and plumbing plant and systems for the phase 1 areas Creation of new building areas to house new MEP plant Installation of new MEP plant and systems for Phase 1 areas Repairs and restoration works to the large swimming pool and its hall Reconfiguration and enhancement to the changing facilities Strip out of modern interventions and redundant MEP plant and systems within the phase 1 areas notably, in the former Washing Baths Hall Reconfiguration of the former Washing Baths Hall to enable new activity space and access through to the changing and wet-side areas Reconfiguration and restoration works to the Milton Road entrance Improved access and circulation The Phase 1 scheme will provide the enabling platform for the further and complete restoration and enhancement of the Health Hydro to be realised. The Phase 2 scheme includes: Reconfiguration of the former dispensary and consulting / practitioner rooms on the ground floor to create a new Community Health and Wellbeing Hub Reconfiguration and restoration works to the Faringdon Road entrance Restoration and enhancements to the Turkish Baths and Spa Environmental improvements to the main pool hall, focusing on roof insulation and re-glazing The initial contract term will be for 16 months for phase 1 with an option to extend for a further 12 months for phase 2 with a potential total contract term of 28 months as stated in the ITT documents. Estimated contract spend for phase 1 is 5.3m and 9.1m for phase 2. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the tender documents.
